Ampkeyer manual

 · See your amp’s manual to verify its keying voltage and current. See Update, above, and use the MPDCD3 for DC relay amps and the MPD3 for AC relay amps (unverified, but should work fine). I suggest using a series resistor on the input that's low enough to trigger the SSR (3V minimum), but high enough to limit the current to 10ma if the internal LED fails shorted. Page 79 of the instruction manual says that the SEND jack is rated for 16 Vdc at 2A. Some rigs have failed while well within those specs. Others seem to survive conditions far in excess of that rating. The AmpKeyer offers yet another choice. SultanTronics also offers several keying and receiver-protection interface products. The AmpKeyer Interface is a well designed unit and a credit to Mike's technical skills. I use the unit to interface a Drake 2NT with a Drake L4B using a Y-cable at the output of the 2NT's VFO Key port. The other side of the Y-cable connects directly to a HA5 VFO. This is a great way to isolate the VFO from the L4B.

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — An year-old boy from Cortland is being hailed a hero after a simple task helped firefighters in a Monday night fire. The fire at 35 Maple Avenue in Cortland brought. The Icom manual you linked says on page , section , that the radio has an internal relay on the SEND jack, so you don't need an interface, or the Acc'y jack. Hopefully, the internal relay in the radio simply closes to ground, and the FLB wants KY to E closed for keying. The ICPro II User Manual, Page 18, re-states the SEND relayspecifications as 16V A [non-inductive] - now that's more like it! Short Answer. It is far too easy to overload and damage the internal switching relay, resulting in expensive and/or annoying repairs. The external isolation relays are cheap insurance for our rigs.

Ampkeyer substitute John: you might look at the following website for a kit that will do the job in lieu of the ampkeyer. www.doorway.ru has a keyer kit that will do what you need. You will need a case and a switch to turn it off when you don't want the amp to key, but that should be a simple solution. I chose the AmpKeyer (See below) as an interface between my Heathkit Amplifier and a later model TS Kenwood Transceiver. It is a keying interface that makes the required isolation of latter model Transcivers. The Ampkeyer works well with the Heathkit SB and SB Amplifier as well as most all other amplifiers. AmpKeyer Time Owned: more than 12 months. I would recommend the AmpKeyer Works flawlessly. Great With any Radio I have in the shack. A well built product. Mike At The Heathkit Shop. His customer support and email response is outstanding. I own both the Version 1, and now the Version 2 (Great Product,Great service Fair price. Thanks Mike.
